I've been on a quest for the past year, buying and then giving away various juicers and juicing attachments. I was about to give up and resign myself to keep purchasing some very good organic orange juice at our local store, but at $8.00 for a half-gallon, well, egads! So then I spotted this beauty. Wow, it shines, it has substance, it can be lifted up away from the corded base (and even stored in the fridge if you care to), and it's very simple to use and easy to clean. What more could you want?
The description about the appliance is accurate -- it has a base with cord that can stay put, you do your juicing, and you can then use the container to serve and pour, or put the little hard plastic cover on top to then store it in your refrigerator. The cone rotates so fast so I can make juice in a sec, so easy to use. In addition, the item looks very beautiful so it's nice to have such a great looking appliance in my kitchen. It's cordless so I don't have to use it in kitchen... I can do it while watching TV.

Not a great product, March 10, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: KRUPS ZX800 Silver Art Collection Citrus Press with Dual Cone Rotation and Stainless Steel, Silver (Kitchen) There are several problems with this juicer. First, to put the cord inside the cord holder is awkward and tedious and not a good fit. Second, I'm disappointed in the juicer cone. It is a thin plastic and will not hold up for 10 years (this replaced an obsolete Krups juicer with a good solid cone, and actually made in Germany, this one is made in China, and lasted 30 years until the bottom of the cone base broke and could not be replaced). The body is solid and sturdy. The cover is a thin plastic, a more hardy cover would have been better.
Second, juicing a grapefruit is a problem (or even a large orange) because the strainer is only slightly recessed and you may find your fingers getting into the pulp.
Third, you need to pick up the juicer with both hands, if you want to include the base, since picking it up by the handle will only pick up the container. A simple locking mechanism would have been better thought out.
